Multitudes #4: The Defining Power of Accessories

My initial intention to learn to draw different emotions has given way to allowing different characters to emerge.

Certain accessories:  hairstyles, hats, earrings and glasses are almost as powerful  in defining a character.

For example,  the addition of a bow brought to mind Alice in Wonderland, now middle aged and like me, feeling a little worn out.  

Given how powerful accessories are in defining characters in  drawings, I wonder if accessories have a similar power in real life.
